In one case, one of three occupants in a white van seen in Mill Lane called at two houses. In one incident the caller virtually demanded to clean the driveway, using the fact that he had done the next door neighbour’s driveway to gain authenticity. Another white van ex British Gas vehicle was picked up by residents in The limes with the occupants acting suspiciously.
As in the other incidents, the callers got short shrift. However, in another incident in London Road involving the same vehicle, there were only young people in the house at the time the call was made, and the caller banged on the door and windows in an intimidating manner. Thankfully the young people did not open the door.

About Me I’m a happy, sorted single guy, still with my own teeth and most of my hair: I enjoy movies, music, cooking, gardening, a bit of sport, reading, cars, and spending time with friends and family. I love travelling, but also have to work – so I try to get away at least a couple of times a year as well as the odd weekend away. I’m not a fan of seeing countries through an air-conditioned sanitised bubble, though – I prefer more basic travel so I really see the country I’m visiting and not just the tourist hot spots.
I’m non-scene for the most part, but if I do hit the gay bars I always have a fun night. In general, though, any pub, bar or restaurant with a nice mix of people is where I’m most happy. So why am I here? Probably the same reason as many guys – I’m looking to chat, make new friends, date and bump into Mr Right if I’m lucky.
If you like what I’ve written, send a message and say hi. Please don’t think I won’t be interested if you live more than a mile away – I’ve got a car and like driving it.

The people had changed and a way of life had disappeared. Wartime austerity, however, had not ended. Rationing continued, families were still separated in many cases, and homes were destroyed. Long term issues replaced the day to day survival of the war, and the economy was totally geared to munitions production and had to be turned around. Redgrave Hall had been requisitioned for troops during the war, and following this period, and the massive repairs needed, it was demolished in , like many other large houses of the time.

I address all Britons regardless of age or sex, because I believe that our wisest advisers in the remote and recent past have been right in urging us to adopt compulsory military training as the foundation of national security. It is the duty of Britons to serve our country, and rifle shooting is a form of service which provides recreation and fun, in conditions which require collective and individual discipline in its least irksome form. Some people believe that we are a nation of natural marksmen-as though there were such a thing as a natural marksman!

According to an inscription, this was set up in the 4th year of the Taichu reign-period BCE. Peter’s Basilica or old Constantinian basilica. One alternative theory about the origin of weathercocks on church steeples is that it was an emblem of the vigilance of the clergy calling the people to prayer. The City of London has two surviving examples. The weather vane of St Peter upon Cornhill is not in the shape of a rooster, but a key; while St Lawrence Jewry ‘s weather vane is in the form of a gridiron.
An early example of this was installed in the Royal Navy’s Admiralty building in London — the vane on the roof was mechanically linked to a large dial in the boardroom so senior officers were always aware of the wind direction when they met.
